To create a layout in MapInfo, follow these steps:

Open MapInfo and create a new map window by going to the "File" menu and selecting "New Map."
Add the data layers you want to include in your layout to the map window.
Go to the "Layout" menu and select "New Layout."
In the "New Layout" dialog box, enter a name for your layout and specify the size and orientation of the layout.
Click "OK" to create the layout.
Once the layout is created, you can add and arrange map elements such as title, legend, scale bar, and north arrow. To do this, go to the "Layout" menu and select "Insert." From the drop-down menu, you can choose the type of element you want to add to the layout.

To edit the appearance of the map elements, go to the "Layout" menu and select "Properties." This will bring up the "Layout Properties" dialog box, where you can adjust the properties of the selected element, such as its size, font, and color.

To save the layout, go to the "Layout" menu and select "Save As." In the "Save As" dialog box, enter a name for the layout and select a location to save it.

To access the tools needed to create a Layout Template in MapInfo Professional:
  1. Close any open windows. MapInfo will inform the user to close open windows if they are still open later.
  2. Choose Tools > Layout Templates > Create New Template.
  3. The About Creating Templates dialog box displays on the screen.
  4. Click OK.
